Wonders

Here's the wonder sheet from the USPS. It's a nice sheet, but I'm not overly excited about it. It'd be better if I could just go in and buy a whole bunch of one stamp. Oh well, it's all about money I guess.

F.D.R. A real leader

This is one of 40 recent Wonders of the US stamps.

This monument is on the Mississippi river in St Louis. It's stainless steel and is built on the Thomas Jefferson memorial park.

About a 20 to 25 minute ride from my house.

I wonder if G.W. is going to cede global warming and ever do more then say "Someone will fix the problem, if there really is one."?

It seems like every newspaper, magazine, and news show has run something on how it is affecting us, what has caused it, and possible solutions to ebb the acceleration of it.

The US needs a leader who does something. I should say, does something GOOD for a change.

Feel free to forward my view to other stamp collectors. Please do in fact, because stamp collectors have power. Remember F.D.R!!!!

Cape of Good Hope

Wow, I'm back!!!! Big Holiday weekend trip with 12 hour workshifts on both sides of it. I'm back to 8's now so I've got some time.

I visited my sister on her 25 acre horse farm. She's got 6 Arabians she rescued that were in terrible condition. They've got a long road to recovery, but with the help of donations she's getting them better. OK, her husband is helping too, can't leave him out.

Here's a nice stamp, one of my better ones. #3. There are plenty of sea stories concerning the Cape of Good Hope. Issued in 1857, printed by Perkins, Bacon & Co.
