New World

Last week http://blog.michael.dodd.com/ posted a space filler from the U.S. 1892 series. Tonights inspiration.

I was in Boston for the tall ships arrival in 1992, quite the show. Awesome to be there. http://www.infoplease.com/spot/tallships1.html

OREK

Stepping outside the Philatelic for a moment, I need to endorse Orek vacuums. http://www.oreck.com/oreck-xl-upright/index.cfm?keycode=DB490
My wife was vacuming and saw this stamp as she rolled over it. After digging into the bag she pulled this out looking quite well for the ride.
Get an Orek if you live in the US. I'm not quite sure they make models for outside....
Reminds me of the story of the inverted jenny that went thru the same trauma. It pays to get a good vacuum.
France leased land in China and used these for mailing from the posts and settlements. This is from Kwangchowan. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kwangchowan

9some

Greenland 1-9, one of my rare complete sets. King Christian http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_X_of_Denmark and polar bears.

Disappearing swiftly as our world begins to simmer these bears are.
