Impeach Bush!!!

I notice that mideastern countries put stamps on the back of letters also, not just the front. Is this just my imagination or what? I want to look up this overprint but haven't found that catalogue since the move. I have recovered 3 of 5 so far. There is a postcard show near me with 29 dealers present. Alas I've just gotten off a 12 hour shift and go back in 10 1/2 hours and it's 5:30 in the morning. A late night for me. So Bush could get censured. Good. He deserves impeachment I say.

Hamilton

Never knew Hamilton was born in Nevis. I thought Presidents of the US had to be born in the USA? What gives? Any ideas? Perhaps if you lived in the US when it became the States you qualified. I'm gonna have to check this one out. OK, I got it, If you were a citizen at the time of adoption of the Constitution you could be Pres. Martin Van Buren was the first Pres born in the States and the 8th Pres. But this is about Hamilton, and I've been spoofed. He's on the 10 dollar bill and I wasn't sure if he was a president. My Debbie just said "yes, he's on the 10 dollar bill" fact is he wasn't. Also he was killed in a duel by the vice president of the United States Aaron Burr who was Jeffersons Vice. Born in Nevis and killed in a duel by the Vice President of the United States. Amazing.

Kestrel

I don't know much about Mauritius other then to say it's right by Madagascar, which has some totally unique animals and plants, much recently discovered stuff. The American Kestrel is found from Alaska to Tierra Del Fuego I believe it's considered a falcon. Kestrels must be everywhere. Now I'm gonna have to know. Yep, sure enough. The Kestral, except for desert and tundra, is worldwide.

Malta FDC

From soaring into space to just soaring in the sky. Here's a crafty looking bird. From the shape of it's bill, I'd guess it eats insects. Just a guess. I don't have these flying in my backyard. This is an Audobon cover FDC. I think Malta is a nice country to collect, along with a few others. I wonder where this bird is native to? I imagine I'll be doing a search tonight. Another moving day tomorrow, gotta pull out the remainders from my other house. Books and stuff seldom used but piled up and kept.

I think it's funny people are protesting 2 year probationary periods in France. It seems to me only people that know they are worthless workers would protest. If your a good worker you wouldn't care.

3-2-1-liftoff!!!

Weather satellites. A big event in it's infancy. Today we're shooting up rockets all the time. Seems like the US has dropped in rank in the space race. I'm putting my money on China to be the first manned landing on Mars. Just a hunch. Russia has the market on the international space station. What's this got to do with stamps? I like the weather map symbology on this FDC stamp.

Military Macaw

OK, no stamps or covers today, Just a picture of my bird, off topic a bit, sorry. Names Curly. Notice how his white facial skin is blushing? He'll do this if he's excited or nervouse, otherwise it's white as a bedsheet.
I've come across several parrot stamps, gonna have to dig those up when I get a chance. This isn't actually my bird, but the image is him exactly.

First airmail Canada

I know, the centering is off and the cancel is right on it, but I'm still happy I got it. I really like the design. C1, catalogues for $3.50 in better quality then this. How about the Angels? I think they are protecting the nation. Maybe they are arm wrestling. Either way, I like the stamp.

I'm still hauling stuff out of my old house this weekend. Hopefully I can get everything else out tomorrow. No time for my stamps.....AARRGGHH!!
