Someone appreciates my distaste for Bush!!

What a whopper letter. I'm gracious for recieving it. It's gonna be a challenge to match this. Also, it's another country on my quest.
A real jumbalaya of stamps. I didn't even realize that Slovenija was putting out such nice stamps. If you'd like some, he sent me a catalogue and it has a web site too. http://www.posta.si I think they are sharp.

I recieved this yesterday(it's 2am) 10 day transit. Good time really. Just east of Italy is pretty far away.


and yes.... it is amazing that I can fit G.W.Bush is an idiot into a stamp blog.

The #1 stamp blog in Bush bashing. Even as a republican(which I am in many ways) I believe the man is a criminal.

Hawaii and Columbus

Last week(or the weeks before) I had some Hawaii stamps. Well tonight, I've got a US Hawaii stamp. Common, but still a nice stamp. I'm sure I've got a better one, I just culled this from an extra's envelope.

Here's another common stamp. The Columbian series is a pricey set, especially the higher denominations. What got me curious about this is the cancellation. 7. Now what is that? The day of the month? I just know there are some of you out there, not large in number, who specialize in postmarks and even attempt to get all the numbers.

I'm going to have to investigate that postmark now. If you have a clue let me in on it.

Work is a beast and consumes most my time now, I still find time to bitch and moan about our President here in the US and continue to wonder why we accept such a derelict for a leader. I've come to the conclusion that politicians need to act and simply don't because they are afraid of political fallout.

Anniversary

Yesterday was my 3 year wedding anniversary. We drove for 34 straight hours to Las Vegas with our 3 dogs and got married in a drive thru wedding chapel. Yep, that's right. We drove up to the window and said our vows, I did shut off the engine.
As usual, I last minute hand wrote a card rather then buying someone elses quaint saying. The front of the card I used a Nevada stamp with Vegas on it and hand cancelled it the date of our wedding. I won't bother you with the mush I wrote inside. Catalogue value anyone??? ........Priceless.

Malta FDC

Water damaged, I know. Still nice in my book. I'm guessing the damage was in delivery. There is nothing worse then the postman delivering a letter in the pouring rain. Oh well, It was in the cheap box I found it and the stamps are still nice. The complete set of 3 makes it better.

Ghana

Ghana stayed a bit more true to the spirit of the anniversary, I need to add this to my checklist. I just recently discovered that Ghana had even issued an anniversary set. Plenty of countries left that I need in the set.
