What do we collect?

Ther'es too much to choose from, flags are awesome. I like birds too, the older portrait stamps and of course military rocks. I guess I just have to get more stamps. I need more stock books then too. Be sure to check out cddstamps in my links if you liked the military stamp. Nice cover was posted yesterday.

Lincoln memorial

I visited this site in 8th grade with my school class on a bus trip. Lots of kids travel on school trips here every year. Actually, I must say that the Congressional building is the best place to see. A tour of that is awesome to say the least. Particularly the statues that are inside. Of course the Smithsonian is my favorite place, but you won't need a tour guide for that!!!

I recieved an approval pack today, looks like nice stuff reasonably priced. Address in Canada. It's cool when you get older postage on letters. Especially for beginner collectors. Eventually old timers already seem to have the older stuff it seems, and just look for new stamps.

I may be too tired to post tomorrow, or rather not have enough time. I got a double shift starting 8 hours after my Friday night shift. Need to sleep. Plenty of posts to the rear if you've ever missed one.

Error stamp

Nice sets from a stamp pal yesterday. One even has an error. My own, slipped by me. Can you spot it? How many here collect topicals? I've got a Betta of my own, that sits in a 135 gallon tank. With roommates I might add. Do I need another tank for these? I'd love to get the Spanish joint issue up above. Big stamp show is 1 day away. Hope to make it Sunday. I guess the odds are good, unless my car breaks down I'm going.

Iran/Hongkong

Here's the rest of the HCA booklet. I also recieved a couple sets of mint Iran from a stamppal there. I'll be sure to post those sets tomorrow.

They were very rough in handling this letter, though I may add, it aften helps to insert a thin cardboard in the letter, which this one had none. I wonder if it was cancelled enough? hehe, just joking, It'll be a nice addition to my worldwide search for letters addressed to JimmyB, thank you, you know who you are.

More Hans

You didn't think that that was all that was in the booklet did you? No way!! I really had to bend the booklet open sharply to get the stamps scanned without pulling the sheets from the booklet. The cover opens with his head profile page. The second page you can see in front of his nose. Cool design. I may scan that for tomorrow, as there are a couple more stamps to view tomorrow also. Buying a house can be nervewracking. I don't want to do it again

Intergalactic connections

This 12th of May fdc from British Guyana was actually postmarked on the same date as the anniversary on the stamp. Was the Cook Islands sleeping yesterday? Were not all of these anniversary stamps released on the same date? Did George really get abducted by aliens and get cloned to perpetuate the royal line on a distant galaxy?
If you notice, the artifacts in the center of the stamp have several references to his galactic quest. A bird and a star over what appears to be a globe. The royal mothers great longevity could well have been caused by warping back and forth across the galaxy for years and years.
