Forever is a long long time

I needed to get international priority stamps today and picked up 2 sheets of these. The clerk who is normally a complete jackass was even excited and jabbering about these forever internationals. Maybe he's not such a jerk after all! I've got several to use in response to any international covers I receive. I'm doubtful if a huge response for them, but just in case there is, better post a comment before you mail a letter so I can set one aside for you in response.

Don't miss out on this raffle style giveaway!!!   http://stampsandcovers.blogspot.com/2013/07/unesco-world-heritage.html?spref=fb

Last of Solomon Islands for awhile

And for tomorrow, something completely different. OK, well, maybe not completely. Perhaps just another country's tribute to Trafalgar's 200th. So now a $5.00 stamp sheet from the Solomon's.

Is that the sun?

I've been hibernating. Just starting to feel some sun. Here's a nice sheet from the USPS's forever stamp depicting the USS Constitution. MMMM, nice.

Lost

It can be such a tedium at times.

Last week I straightened up and organized a bit. Lo and behold, I organized so well that I can't find my latest mixture full of all kinds of goodies. Real goodies.

Now the packets could be anywhere. Why did I try to straighten my organized mess?

Jewels

More of the 1992 set. Looks more like the 1892 reprinted.
Does anyone have the entire 1892 set? I'd love to hear from you and see the scans of your set.

New World

Last week http://blog.michael.dodd.com/ posted a space filler from the U.S. 1892 series. Tonights inspiration.

I was in Boston for the tall ships arrival in 1992, quite the show. Awesome to be there. http://www.infoplease.com/spot/tallships1.html

Radiation

Aurora Borealis and Australis

You must click on the image for the broadband image. This is one of the rare U.S. stamps that come out that are great(in my eyes).
Greta Garbo was the last really good one.
This is an Omnibus release. Even better, I the countries escape my mind at the moment. At least half a dozen if my memory serves me correctly.
I'll no doubt be changing todays post with the list of countries.

US Centennial

................Click for detail...............

I really like this 98 centennial sheet. The used the actual plates for the copies. Not sure of the process(yet).

The holidays have begun in the greater St Louis area. Stay home, the shops and markets are too packed. If you haven't stocked up by now I can feel for you.

Florida wetlands

If you got enough broadband click on the images for hirez

I lived in Florida for about 9 years, the wildlife and fishing is the best.

Just get ready to board up the house every year.

This clocked in at the limit of my upload limit. Nice sheet. Got 3 plan on sending some mail out contributors and breaking them up for postage. Of course if there is anyone who is nuts on fauna topical and wants a sheet, let me know in the next couple days.

Maybe I should buy a couple more sheets?
