Philatelic Exhibition seals, beautifully engraved. These show a plane, rider on horseback, a ship and also a train with the globe in the forefront.

Cactus State

It certainly has been awhile hasn't it? I've gotten a few mixtures on approval the last couple weeks but haven't found the time to dig into them.
Arizona also sold these in 1 ounce denominations. Arizona sold these even though cannabis is illegal in the state. The one ounce stamps are blue and a revision to the design which shows a cactus was later issued.

These were released in 1945. Postage dues overprinted for Shanghai and Nanking from what I can see in my catalogue.

This is an Omnibus release. Even better, I the countries escape my mind at the moment. At least half a dozen if my memory serves me correctly.

After posting this, I noticed the odd perf cuts on top. It almost looks like a stamp is beneath. Oddest thing. I'm not soaking this one.

166 is even a better find, without a stain and arguably superb centering.

I'm not sure exactly what this is, other then Germany. I'm confused by the writing.

Was the writing done by a collector? Probably is my guess, but anyone else have any other idea?
